I have it installed on my wife's computer because it's in a different room than the modem and router. So far, we've had no issues at all, and it appears to have decent speeds.
Was looking for easy way to connect my son's computer to internet. I'm not computer savvy and once I got my password right for my internet connection it installed with ease.
This device does not have drivers for Linux or any Windows OS later than 2004. If you are still using Windows 2000 or an early 32-bit version of XP, it may work fine, but good luck finding a USB 2.0 port on a PC that old.
It worked fine on my windows XP computer, however I could never have it work on my windows vista computer.
The product did not work on my Windows Millenium (it was also difficult to install, being somewhat too large to fit in the USB port with the nearby items in the adjacent USB ports, I had to jam it in). It then failed to install, asking for a Windows Millenium file that it could not find. Phone support from Belkin was useless.
